Review Policy
We believe it is important that reviews provide a fair and reliable picture of our products and service. Therefore, we explain below where our reviews come from, how we check their authenticity, and how reviews are published.
Reviews via Trustpilot
For general reviews about Cat Elite, we use Trustpilot, an independent review platform. Every month, we invite approximately 200 randomly selected customers on average to leave a review on Trustpilot about their experience with Cat Elite.
Consumers can also leave a review about Cat Elite on Trustpilot on their own initiative. For reviews submitted via a linked invitation after an order, Trustpilot may indicate that the reviewer was invited or verified. A review without such a label is not automatically fake, but is not linked to an order via the same invitation method.
On our website, we display our current overall score and the total number of reviews via a Trustpilot widget. On some pages, we also display individual, manually selected Trustpilot reviews. This is a selection and not necessarily a complete reflection of all reviews received. All reviews, both positive and negative, can be viewed directly on Trustpilot.

Product reviews via Judge.me
For product reviews, we use Judge.me. Customers who have purchased a drinking fountain, automatic feeder, litter box, or bundle automatically receive an invitation after their purchase to review the purchased product. We currently do not send automatic review invitations for accessories and filters.
Visitors can also leave a review directly via a product page. Reviews submitted via a linked invitation after purchase are identified by Judge.me as coming from a verified buyer. Reviews submitted directly via a product page do not receive this verification label.
Content from creators who receive free products is not published as a product review on Judge.me and therefore falls outside this review policy.
Publication of product reviews
All product reviews are published automatically, regardless of the number of stars and regardless of whether the content is positive, neutral, or negative.
In principle, reviews appear on our website immediately after submission. Technical processing or synchronization may cause a short delay.
Positive and negative reviews
Both positive and negative reviews are published. The rating does not affect publication. A critical or negative experience is never in itself a reason to remove or hide a review.
Calculation of ratings
The product score is calculated based on the average of the published ratings for the product in question. Positive and negative ratings carry equal weight.
The overall Trustpilot score is calculated by Trustpilot and displayed via the Trustpilot widget on our website.
Rewarded reviews
We do not pay customers for reviews and do not offer discounts, free products, or other rewards in exchange for a review.
When will a review not be displayed?
A review may be hidden after the fact when there is a valid reason for doing so, for example when the review:
- is demonstrably fake or posted twice;
- contains spam, advertising, or unwanted commercial links;
- is not relevant to the product in question;
- contains offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate language;
- contains personal data or other private information;
- is illegal.
In practice, it only very occasionally happens that a review is hidden for one of these reasons.
